Roomi has doubt of Doo-rim's identity. Meanwhile, Yi-gyeong keeps watching the whole situation. The reason Yi-hyeon disappeared, she believes in the curse that Gang-joo’s family is cursed – the bride of the first son always dies. Yi-gyeong didn’t believe in the curse from the beginning, but as she finds out an old secret dairy at mother’s safe which belongs to the first bride of her dead father. Gang-joo falls in love with Doo-rim, and worries she might be dead. So he breaks up his engagement to save Doo-rim. In fact, Gangju's mother, Myung-hee, believed in this curse from the beginning, so she has a plan to have Yi-gyeong as the first bride, after her death to marry her son Gang-joo marries Roo-mi. Yi-gyeong knew all of this, would have run away before marriage because she could die.
